Claudia R Marin Ruiz received her Bachelor’s degree in Especial Education-Communication Disorders from Female University of the Sacred Heart-2000 (Lima-Peru).  Claudia attended Peruvian University Cayetano Heredia, and graduated in 2005 with a complete coursework for a Master in Learning Disabilities. On 2011, She graduated and received her 2nd Specialty degree in Hearing and language from Female University of the Sacred Heart. Claudia has practiced her professional skills with children from 2 to 5 years old. Once she obtained her US equivalence as Bachelor in Special Education/Communication Disorders and Master in Speech, Language and Hearing, she started practicing in the field of early intervention providing speech and language services at Achieve Beyond clinic center in New York city, and over two different clinic centers in Los Angeles California. Also, Claudia received a certificate in Deaf/Hard of Hearing program at Missouri University-2016. After gaining extensive experience in working with children, Claudia began practicing as a private vendor with the Eastern Los Angeles regional Center. Claudia’s working experience include children assessment, intervention development, and direct intervention 1-1, and in small groups. Claudia is planning to soon establish her own private practice after learning that her bilingual community speech and language service needs can be fulfilled in a higher extension.

 

 Claudia holds the Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC), an American professional credential that represents a level of excellence in the field of Speech-Language Pathology (CCC-SLP).  Claudia is always advancing her knowledge with the most current, evidence-based diagnostic and treatment approaches in the field of speech-language pathology in the areas of autism, apraxia of speech, early intervention, and bilingual evaluations and interventions. Claudia has been trained in Talk Tools, Picture Exchange Communication System (PECS), Floortime, and Prompts for Restructuring Oral Muscular Phonetic Targets (PROMPT).    She has also had the opportunity to supervise SLPA’S and mentor SLP/RPE.

All selected applicants will have in-person office meetings. These meetings will follow covid-19 protocols. Hired SLPA performs his/her job at the in-home setting (in person face to face), Covid-19 protocols should be followed. For example, wearing a mask, disinfecting, carrying wipes & sanitizer, and keeping at least 6 feet distance with children/families.
